When Vegas was born, he needed extra care. During those overwhelming early days, Heather found comfort in knowing the Hushabye team was there for both of them.

“They helped me when my son was first born with getting us through him being sick. If I was overwhelmed, they helped me with him 24/7. It was so nice to know I did not have to do that alone.”

But what makes Heather’s story so special is that Hushabye’s support didn’t end when Vegas went home.

When asked what advice she hopes to give Vegas as he grows older, Heather’s words reflect the strength and love she carries as his mother:

“Believe in yourself, and nothing can stop you from being the best you possible but you. Anything worth it isn’t easy. Always keep your word. Be a man with integrity.”

She also hopes he will always show kindness, protect those who are vulnerable, and treat others with respect.

Heather’s dreams for Vegas remind us why our work matters. We’re not just helping babies through their first days of life. We’re helping families build brighter futures.
