Scottsdale Recovery Center C.A.R.E. Academy

Scottsdale Recovery Center is excited to announce the recent licensing of their C.A.R.E academy program, a new initiative dedicated to supporting holistic health, whole person care, and advancing health equity through community-centered resources. C.A.R.E. Academy stands for Community, Accessibility, Resources, and Education, and offers a comprehensive set of services designed to address social determinants of health that affect long-term recovery and overall well-being.

The academy’s mission is to promote a holistic approach to health by integrating social determinants into health strategies and interventions. It operates as a centralized platform for information, collaboration, and action, aiming to drive systemic change that enhances health equity and improves clients’ quality of life. The academy envisions a future where health equity is accessible to all, enabling each individual to live a fulfilling life, regardless of their social, economic, or environmental background.

Current services at C.A.R.E. Academy are extensive and address many facets of clients’ lives. These include assistance with housing, food, and transportation; employment support; and utility assistance. The academy also provides resources for justice and legal issues, preventive wellness screenings and testing, GED education, financial literacy, nutrition and gardening programs, and college application support. Skills-based training such as resume building, computer skills, budgeting, and financial planning are also available.

This year the academy plans to add more services to further support clients and foster their recovery. These will include parenting classes, DUI education, domestic violence support, ESL classes, meditation and sound bowl therapy, and presentations by community colleges and trade schools.

Scottsdale Recovery Center is dedicated to transforming health outcomes and ensuring every individual has the opportunity to lead a healthy life through long term sobriety. By addressing key social determinants such as housing, food security, employment, and social support, this new program provides aid for a sustainable recovery and a healthier future.

SRC operates four locations and all levels of care for those who struggle with alcohol and drug addiction. All locations offer services for those 18 years and older.
