Golf Tournament a Success

With temperatures in the low 90’s, the 12th annual Bill Brown Memorial Golf Tournament was a resounding success on September 20 at the Raven Golf Club in Phoenix. The tournament raised substantial funds to benefit the Arizona Women’s Recovery Center (AWRC), a nonprofit dedicated to providing substance use treatment to women and their children.

“We’re incredibly grateful for the generosity of our participants and sponsors,” said David Johnson, tournament organizer. “Their support has made a significant impact on AWRC’s ability to provide women with the tools and resources they need for a successful, drug-free life.” To ensure all children at AWRC enjoy the upcoming holidays, golfers were asked to donate unwrapped Christmas gifts. Over 200 gifts were collected, ready for Santa to distribute.

“Spending a day on the course with friends, surrounded by nature, and supporting such a worthy cause is truly inspiring,” said Dr. Beverly Wohlert, CEO of AWRC.

“Thank you to all the volunteers, sponsors, and players. Your participation has made a difference in the lives of countless women and children.”  We look forward to 2025!
